A power outage does more than darken a facility. It can interrupt semiconductor production, compromise sensitive research, threaten continuity in hospitals and disrupt data infrastructure. Bloom Energy’s Energy Server, a solid oxide fuel cell platform, supplies onsite electricity during normal grid conditions, reducing the amount drawn from the utility. When an outage occurs, its AlwaysON microgrid platform disconnects from the grid and continues powering designated loads, allowing the same system to serve routine demand and resilience needs. A standby generator usually starts working only after the outage begins. Bloom Energy’s system is already running when the grid fails, avoiding cold-start and load-transfer delay. Protected loads can stay powered through longer disruptions, including public safety shutoffs that last more than five days.

According to performance data provided by the resin manufacturer, G-Guard removes up to 99 percent of PFAS contaminants while maintaining a low-maintenance, electricity-free design and addressing both hard water and chlorine and its disinfection byproducts.
