The 3rd Annual International Geotechnical Innovation Conference (IGIC 2026) is MENA’s leading geotechnical engineering platform, purpose-built to support the region’s, especially Saudi Arabia’s, unprecedented scale of infrastructure, urban, mining, and giga-project developments. The conference brings together project owners, geotechnical contractors, consultants, technology and machinery providers shaping the future of ground engineering in MENA and the wider markets.
Ammonia is a chemical commodity with long-established supply chains from production and distribution through to utilisation. However, its current production creates substantial carbon emissions, a fact at odds with public and policy desires for cleaner economies and industrial processes. In addition to cleaning up the processes of the ammonia used in current chemical applications; producers have new reasons to be excited by the growth opportunities for clean ammonia. These opportunities lie in its possible role within the ‘energy transition’. In particular, there is much interest in the role of clean ammonia as either a carrier of hydrogen fuel, or as a fuel in its own right, in sectors such as shipping and power generation.
The Construction Contract Management and Dispute Resolution Conference is a critical gathering for the MENA region’s industry professionals aiming to enhance contractual practices in the construction sector. As the construction landscape evolves, the need for effective contract management and efficient dispute resolution becomes paramount. This event will bring together owners, contractors, subcontractors, legal experts, arbitrators, mediators and key stakeholders to discuss best practices, share insights on emerging trends, and explore innovative solutions to common challenges. Participants will engage in collaborative discussions, case studies, and workshops, promoting smoother project execution and fostering a culture of transparency in contract management.c
In the global marketplace, both developed and developing economies urgently need to master the key techniques and models for financing the transformation to renewable generation while strengthening the reliability of new energy markets and systems. Today’s renewable energy frameworks and markets feature more innovative incentives to structure and analyze RE financial models to ensure that PF transactions are bankable, and conform to RE generation availability and system reliability requirements. Today’s wind, solar, hydro, biomass, and geothermal project finance (PF) transactions require a higher level of expertise not only in programming more sophisticated and flexible financial models, but also in incorporating the latest risk mitigation and credit enhancement instruments. This online course covers both the key PF financial modelling requirements and techniques, risk analysis instruments, as well as bankability practices.
Due to the complex geopolitical nature of gas/LNG sourcing and the long-term nature of gas transactions between buyers and sellers, it is commercially prudent for all those involved in this process to know and understand global gas & LNG supply and markets conditions, available methodologies for price determination and prevailing contract structures. A misjudgment in any of these areas could result in inappropriate sourcing decisions, significant adverse financial consequences and legal liabilities. This course has, therefore, been designed to enable the professionals in the gas sector and gas advisory services to make appropriate sourcing decision, construct gas/LNG contracts from a position of strength and knowledge in order to gain a competitive edge in the process.
Even without the rapid growth of EVs, our current power systems are in the midst of a disruptive transition towards cleaner, diversified and more flexible structures. If a transition from internal combustion engines (ICE) to electric vehicles (EVs) is to be achieved, what will be the impact on these systems? What are the barriers to scale and which solutions (and hence market opportunities) will be essential? This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the multi-sector issues that must be understood and integrated, plus the competitive battles ahead, including: technology status and trends, management of electricity demand & supply, charging network players and competitors, consumer behavior influences.
We need new infrastructure. Roads, airports, schools, hospitals and housing: the list is enormous and growing. Yet severely limited budgets, economic uncertainty caused by volatile commodity prices, and deficits continue to prevent government at all levels from delivering the kinds of structural change that has always been needed. In response, some countries have developed successful PPP programmes. Merely grasping the concepts of PPP does not do justice to our great responsibility of having an ownership in the country’s future. We already know what we need to do, now is the time to really discover HOW.
The ‘hydrogen economy’ was first described 50 years ago, but failed to develop. Now hydrogen is making a comeback, with unprecedented momentum from both policymakers and industry amid a background of energy decarbonisation. Nevertheless, given its failure in the past, current investors and business developers in the sector are strongly advised to ensure they understand the complexities and competitive environments of the hydrogen landscape. This new course combines an excellent overview of the different elements of the clean hydrogen sector with a series of critical thinking and analysis exercises which provide clear guidance on market assessment requirements, including key opportunity and risk influences.
In the global marketplace of 2020s, both developed and developing economies urgently need to master the key techniques and models for transforming to renewable generation while strengthening the reliability of new energy markets and systems. These focus on adapting and negotiating the latest models for Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreements (RE PPAs) and on rapidly attracting new private investments in renewable energy sources. Unlike past fossil-fuel based Independent Power Project (IPP) models that featured standardized take-or-pay contracts – today’s renewable energy markets demand more innovative incentives to attract RE supply, conform to RE generation availability, ensure power system reliability, as well as more attractive and sustainable mixtures of fuel sources.
As the world increasingly values responsible and ethical business practices, this course provides a comprehensive exploration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles alongside practical approaches to sustainability. Over 6 sessions, delegates will gain a full picture on how business models can define their purpose and legitimacy through social and environmental lens. Delegates will also examine the main sustainable finance instruments, the ICMA principles and standards established to promote transparency and integrity in the market, with a deep-dive into each instrument’s features, benefits, and applications.
